CalEVDRS—California Electronic Violent Death Reporting System
CalEVDRS
is modeled on CDC’s National Violent Death Reporting System and provides detailed information on violent deaths, including homicides and suicides. The system links data from vital statistics death files, supplementary homicide reports from the California Department of Justice, and coroners’ investigations. Not all counties currently participate in CalEVDRS, so it cannot be used for state wide surveillance. For more information on using this CalEVDRS query, go to
Help
. For state wide surveillance, use EpiCenter’s
other queries
.
CalEVDRS depends on the generosity of our funders and partners— The California Wellness Foundation, the California Research Bureau (CRB) of the California State Library, and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, UC Davis School of Medicine.
