Traumatic Brain Injury
Data on Californians treated for a non-fatal TBI, according to CDC's definitions. About 60% have TBI as a principal diagnosis (the main or most serious condition),
which gives a conservative count. To get a comprehensive count, select "principal diagnosis or any secondary diagnosis", which includes an additional 40% of TBI diagnosed as "secondary" in importance to some other condition.
